Tuesday Batman noted how much he hates Che shirts. So, I'd be remiss if I let the day go by without bringing up this nugget. Yesterday, the Columbian Army rescued 15 American hostages that had been held by a Marxist rebels for more than half a decade. Well guess what kind of T-Shirts the rescuers were wearing when they infiltrated the rebel camp? Yeah.

Isn't 'Colombian' the right adjective?

Yes, Colombian is correct. This is why I generally stick to commenting on Big Brother (new season starts Sunday!)

I'm glad I'm not the only one irrationally angry over trendy Che worship. The one that has gotten to me lately is an XBox game I see every time I take my kids to rent a game. It has Che's faux-heroic visage on the cover, the red communist star behind his glorious head, and the words "Just Cause" printed over it all. I puke in my mouth every time I see it. I guess the subtext of the title is that, since the cause is just, you don't need to fret too much over the means.
I wonder if there is a bonus level where, having assassinated the right amount of Those Who Would Oppose the Revolucion, you get to round up gays and force them to work in the fields. Like a real Hero!!!

Actually, I think Just Cause might be OK to rent. I've never played it (My video gaming stopped at Nintendo. The original Nintendo.), but doing a quick search, it looks like Just Cause is actually a game where you're a CIA agent trying to overthrow a Caribbean dictator. The main character, Rico Rodriguez, is also apparently also based on Felix Rodriguez (the CIA agent who captured Che).
Does anyone out there know anything more about this? Just Cause looks like it might be a good old fashioned anti-Communist video game.
