Lissy Trullie finally has an EP out! Self-taught Learner is only six songs and they are all pretty fab, so I'd recommend getting the whole album. But if you're really only looking for a song or two to sample, "Boy Boy" and her cover of Hot Chip's "Ready for the Floor" are essential downloads. "She Said" is also a highlight.
Lissy brings attitude in droves and provides some of the best female rock vocals I've heard in a long time. It's punk balanced with pop-dance beats. You feel badass rocking out to it but still want to sing along to the hooks. It's the best of both worlds.
Yeah Right Rating: four out of five stars.
