Did you know that Obama's science advisor once argued that trees have the right to sue? It's true - they're all over it at the Corner. Their discussion reminded me of this old chestnut (ha!) from Rush (the semi-libertarian Canadian band, not Limbaugh). They have a slightly different take on the subject, but clearly saw trouble brewing.

I guess it serves me right for posting in defense of mainstream country music this week. One taboo is broken, and suddenly we're spotlighting a Rush song, despite a specific Rush dis in the YR Get Involved page! (My penance for being the BIGGEST RUSH FAN IN THE WORLD at 7th grade.)

I hear ya, and completely forgot about the unofficial Rush ban. But if Rush had to made a YR appearance, is there a better way than linking Neil Peart's overblown, grandiose, kinda ridiculous lyrics to the overblown, completely ridiculous cause of giving trees legal rights? It's actually a pretty good fit....
