Finally, the mainstream media is realizing they can't ignore this one. Stewart does a pretty good job here.

This really is funny (I was going to post it too but couldn't figure out how to link just the video and not the whole Daily Show site). I'm not a big fan of Jon Stewart in general, but I gotta give him a lot of credit here. I bet he really threw his audience for a loop too - they didn't stand in line to see a positive shout-out to Fox News(!) and Michelle Malkin (!!), of all things.
And as big as exposing the corruption inside ACORN is, I think an even bigger story here is the DIY media angle. This has obviously been building for a while, and is growing more important all the time (e.g. the reporting of the Gateway Pundit blog was the last straw in getting Van Jones booted). But this is the first time that I'm aware of where two citizens, not aligned with any media outlet, set out to expose an organization, set up a 'sting' using their own resources, successfully got the story circulated, and then immediately achieved results (w/i ACORN and Congress) - all in a few days and completely outside of MSM channels! Pretty amazing. Hannah and James, you rock. This is an important milestone for the 'new' media, and I bet we'll see a lot more grassroots, DIY reporting in the future.
