Just curious...what do YRers think of Ellen Degeneres as an AmIdol judge? I have mixed feelings, but mostly negative. Kara is MUCH better than last season though.

Last night I watched the Who's set from the 1970 Isle of Wright Festival. It was fabulous. Not fabulous: one of the commercials during the broadcast on Palladium was for Rock Band 2. Apparently you can download the Who's set from the Super Bowl halftime show aka "their most important show ever." And then I died a little on the inside.

I'm neutral about Ellen. I think she respects her roll on the show and injects the right amount of humor without over-doing it and trying to steal the spotlight, but I'm not on the edge of my seat looking forward to what she has to say like I've always been with Simon (though less so this year). But this could be a case of high expectations. I agree Kara is far better this year and I don't miss Paula.
