I know it's not news to anyone, but sometimes it's good to be reminded of just how uncool ABBA was. Check out the video below - NONE of this was a joke at the time, the band was doing a TV shot and trying to look and sound its best. I've seen people more loose, relaxed and entertaining at funerals. They also can't co-ordinate their dance moves, recognize where the cameras are, or lip synch in time with the lyrics. Amazing but true that, for several years in the 70s, ABBA sold more records than any other band on the planet and (I've been told) was the largest single source of Sweden's export revenues. It makes you realize that, as bad as things are now, they can always be worse. But we can laugh now, at the bad haircuts, worse fashion, and the guitar apparently teleported from another galaxy. So enjoy.
