...like a Leftist scorned. Want the proof? Check out this scurrilous portrait of Ann Althouse, who runs one of the most popular blogs in the country. For those of you who don't know, Ann is a Law Professor at the University of Wisconsin. She's also buddies with Glenn Reynolds, a Law Prof at the University of Tennessee, who put her blog on the map when his world-beating Instapundit repeatedly linked to it (she later became a guest Insta-blogger). Ms. Althouse is also a pro-choice, pro-gay marriage, registered Democrat and Obama voter who nevertheless drives the Left bonkers because she thinks for herself and, ocassionally, criticizes Democratic politicians and policies. Do that long enough, and you'll get a scrawny University student trawling through your personal life and making repeated references to your UW salary (which is healthy, but a fraction of what I'm sure she could earn in private practice).
Full disclosure: I used to read the Althouse blog religiously and still check in regularly. I've even left a comment or two there over the years (for that is my way). If this dude thinks her blog is right-wing, he ought to move out of the basement - and work on his critical thinking skills. The apparently big insight of this article - "People who call Ann Althouse a right-wing political blogger miss the point. She's a right-wing pop-culture blogger" - is simply asserted, and then goes nowhere. Having "attitude" is right-wing? Did this guy miss the 20th century?
But hey, maybe I've missed the subliminal messages the fiendishly clever Althouse slips into her encrypted posts. And Ann, if you're reading this and you really are a right-wing pop-culture blogger, welcome to the club! But you'll have to start paying dues...
