Yeah Right loyalists will know that one of my favorite under-the-radar acts is Lady Lamb the Beekeeper. The first two times I saw her in DC, she played solo. The last time I saw her, she added a backing band. It made a big difference in the songs; her sound was much more robust. As I mentioned at the time, her backing band is a good band in their own right -- The Milkman's Union. And now one of the members of that band has a new solo album coming out. I just gave it a listen and it's pretty good. So, I'll make "Now" by Jeff Beam the Song of the Week.
